The True Blue sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the back stitches are cast on and the back is knitted in stockinette stitch to the bottom of the armholes. Then, stitches are cast on for the front piece, which is also knitted to the bottom of the armholes. The back and front pieces are joined to form the body, which is knitted in the round on a circular needle. Sleeve stitches are picked up at the armhole and knitted in the round from the top down. All rib edges are bound off with Italian bind-off.
